Show Title: "Ghost Theory"

Guest:

Synopsis – Editor-in-Chief: Javier Ortega My name is Javier. I’m a writer, a geek and a historian. I’ve been into the paranormal since childhood. Mainly because of my culture and its folklore. GhostTheory was created for the purpose of documenting paranormal cases, as well as trying to find logical and scientific answers to these anomalies. Our goal is to blog about updated news and reports on paranormal cases, with in-depth interviews and analysis from a skeptical point of view. We are not “ghost hunters” nor are we a paranormal group. Writing and debunking for a true answer is what GhostTheory is about. Join us!

Editor: Joe Ruiz  Intrigued since I was young about paranormal activity, I took on reading and viewing many stories about the unknown. To this day it’s hard to say what’s real and what’s fiction, with so many people claiming to investigate the paranormal activities and start up shows where you cannot see the entire view of incidents of which are occurring. I have met Javier Ortega recently and love what he has started and was invited into also being an editor for his site. I have been out of date reading and researching, but let me tell you I’m honored and love how’s he is taking the approach on this subject and this site.

Editor: Gary Popella My name is Gary Popella, and I am a new editor here at GhostTheory. My paranormal influence started at a young age when I had a few unexplainable incidents with what appeared to be a shadow person. Throughout my youth living in Cleveland, Ohio, I have read many books pertaining to ghosts and the paranormal. I too am looking for answers when it comes to the paranormal and UFO’s, though I don’t cater to conspiracy theories when it comes to UFO’s. I believe we are not alone, whether we look to the skies or in our homes, there are unexplainable events occurring around us constantly. I look forward working with Javier and Joe on GhostTheory as this site is one of the most active ones I have found in many years on the internet.

Show Title: "A History of Ghost: The True Story of Seances, Mediums, Ghosts and Ghostbusters"

Guest: Peter Aykroyd

Synopsis – Peter Aykroyd spent his childhood watching his family''s parlor sances through the crack of a basement door. Here, for the first time, Aykroyd tells the strange and delightful story that inspired his son, Dan, to make the mega-hit, Ghostbusters . Part history, part family legend, A History of Ghosts starts in 1848 in upstate New York, where the spiritualist craze first began. Aykroyd introduces the reader to notable mediums while telling the story of the development of spiritualism, interweaving a personal history marked by a fascination with ghosts and spirits with the larger narrative about the role the paranormal has played in our culture. Such legendary figures as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Harry Houdini appear and vanish. Everyone loves a good ghost story. Successful TV shows such as Medium and Ghost Hunters are proof that our national obsession with ghosts is here to stay. Millions of Americans believe in the paranormal-and even skeptics have heard a bump in the night and suspected it might be something supernatural.
